BY CAR: 
From the “Grande Raccordo Anulare”: Take Exit 1 towards Roma Centro/Aurelio/Aurelia. From Via Aurelia, turn slightly right and take Via Aurelia Antica. Follow the road Via Aurelia Antica and before arriving at Porta San Pancrazio, turn right along Via Giacinto Carini; then turn left and continue on via Gabriele Rossetti; turn right and take via Felice Cavallotti, then turn left into via Alessandro Poerio. You will find our Guesthouse Virgen del Pilar on the right side at number 51 D.
BY TRAIN: 
From Termini Station:
Exit the station and go to Piazza dei Cinquecento . Take bus line 75 (Stop Termini MA-MB-FS -70240) to the terminus (Poerio/Marino) – journey time about 30 minutes depending on traffic. The entrance to our Guesthouse “Virgen del Pilar” will be a few steps ahead of the terminus on the right side.
From Tiburtina Station (3 possibilities):
1) Take train line FL3 (Tiburtina – Viterbo) and get off at the 4th stop: Stazione Quattro Venti (7 minutes walk to the house). Directions: Take the east side exit direction Via Antonio Cesari – (stairs) – Turn left into Via Antonio Cesari for 82 m – Turn right (stairs) and take Via Francesco Domenico Guerrazzi for 300 m – Finally turn right and take Via Alessandro Poerio for 89 meters until number 51d.
2) Take the train line FL1 (Orte – Fiumicino airport), get off at Trastevere station and walk for about 15 minutes. See below indications on how to proceed on foot from Trastevere station. Alternatively take bus 871 at Trastevere station, get off at the 10th stop (Carini – Bonnet) and continue for about 12 minutes on foot towards Via delle Mura Gianicolensi and then Via Alessandro Poerio to number 51d. Taxis are also available in the station square.
3) Alternatively from Tiburtina Station take the subway line B and get off at Piramide stop, go to Via Marmorata where you can take bus 75 (stop Marmorata/Caio cestio) to the terminus (Poerio/Marino).
From Trastevere Station:
You can reach us on foot in 15 minutes – 1km (uphill road). Directions on foot: Leave the station square (Piazza Flavio Biondo) and go straight on Viale di Trastevere ( stay on the left side of the street), take the second street on the left towards Via Giuseppe Parini, take the stairs and turn left and stay on Via Giuseppe Parini, turn right and take Via Lorenzo Valla for 140 m, turn right and take Via Ambrogio Traversari for 100 m, turn left and take the stairs in the direction of Via Giambattista Marino and continue left for 130 m. Finally turn right and take Via Alessandro Poerio to number 51d.
Alternatively take bus 871 at Trastevere station, get off at the 10th stop (Carini – Bonnet) and continue for about 12 minutes on foot towards Via delle Mura Gianicolensi and then Via Alessandro Poerio to number 51d. Taxis are also available in the station square.
From St. Peter’s station (a few steps from St. Peter’s Square):
Take the train FL 3 (Viterbo – Tiburtina ) and get off at station Quattro Venti – 1 stop 3 minutes walk (the house is 7 minutes walk from the station – see above directions on how to walk from Quattro Venti station).
BY AIRPLANE 
From Fiumicino Airport: Go to the train station located inside the airport, take the regional train FL1 (Fiumicino airport – Orte) and get off at Trastevere Station (27 minutes ride – ticket price € 8,00).
On board the FL1 train children under 4 years of age travel free of charge. Children between 4 and 12 years of age travel free of charge at the rate of one child per paying adult. It is possible to bring luggage without size limits as long as they do not cause any disturbance.
From Ciampino Airport: In front of the airport there are several shuttle buses (operated by different private transport companies) that connect Ciampino airport to Termini railway station from where you can take bus 75 (Termini stop MA-MB-FS -70240 – Piazza dei Cinquecento) to the terminus (Poerio Marino) – ticket fare about € 5,00/ € 6,00 + BIT ticket € 1,50).
Alternatively, leaving Ciampino airport you can go to the public transport stop FIORANELLO/APPIA. Take line 720 [Laurentina (MB)] for 11 stops. Get off at the VIGNA MURATA/ARDEATINA stop. Then go to the TOR CARBONE/ARDEATINA stop. Take line 766 [STAZ. TRASTEVERE (FS)] for 28 stops to Trastevere Station, from there continue on foot for 15 minutes (uphill road).
BY BUS- SUBWAY – TRAM 
Through the public service offered by the Municipality of Rome it is possible to reach comfortably the Holiday House “Virgen del Pilar” with the bus line n° 75 (direction POERIO/MARINO). This line crosses several stops of the underground of Rome to reach any place of interest in the city. For example, it is possible to get on line 75 from Termini Station, from “Rione Monti” near the Roman Forum, from the Colosseum, from Circus Maximus, from the Pyramid area, from “Porta Portese”, from Trastevere district with the possibility to change line.
A few steps from the house you can also take tram 8 that from Viale Trastevere allows you to reach in 10 minutes Largo Argentina ( Campo dei Fiori – Piazza Navona – Pantheon ) and Piazza Venezia ( Via dei Fori Imperiali – Via del Corso – Fontana di Trevi – Piazza di Spagna).
The subway line A stop Valle Aurelia can be reached from Quattro Venti Station ( 7 minutes walk from the house) with 2 train stops (6 minutes).
From Valle Aurelia it is possible to reach the following tourist attractions: with 1 metro stop you get to Cyprus (Vatican Museums ), with 2 stops to Ottaviano ( Piazza Risorgimento, Piazza San Pietro ), with 4 stops you arrive to Flaminio (Piazza del Popolo – Villa Borghese ), with 5 stops to Spain ( Piazza di Spagna – Via Condotti – Fontana di Trevi ), with 6 stops in Barberini ( Piazza Barberini – Via Veneto – Quirinale ), with 7 stops in Repubblica ( Basilica S. Maria degli Angeli Basilica – Via Nazionale), with 8 stops at Termini Station.
The subway line B stop Piramide can be reached by bus 75 (stop in front of the house) getting off at Porta San Paolo (a few steps from the stop there is the Pyramid – the Protestant Cemetery – Testaccio – the Aventine Hill).
By metro B (direction Rebibbia) you can reach the Circus Maximus (S. Gregorio al Celio, Villa Celimontana, Terme di Caracalla) with 1 stop, with 2 stops you arrive at Colosseum (Fori Imperiali, Colle Oppio), with 3 stops you arrive at Cavour (Via Cavour, S. M. Maggiore, Monti district), with 4 stops you arrive at Termini station.
From Piramide (direction Laurentina) you can also reach the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls with 2 stops.
